Zoom! Teeth Whitening

Zoom!® is a revolutionary whitening procedure. It's safe, effective and fast, very fast. In just over an hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter. The convenience of Zoom! in comparison to days of using strips or wearing trays makes it the perfect choice for the busy individual.

The Zoom! Whitening procedure is simple. It begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. The Zoom! clinician then applies the proprietary Zoom! Whitening Gel, which is activated by a specially designed light. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five-minute fluoride treatment completes the procedure. You'll be amazed with the results. In most cases, teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure. Click here for more information.

Dental Implants

Dental Implants are small prosthetic posts that are placed into the bone of the upper or lower jaw. They act as replacements for the root portion of lost natural teeth and also serve as an anchor for replacement teeth. Dental implants look and feel exactly like natural teeth -- in fact, no one other than you and your doctor will be able to tell the difference. Dental implants are appropriate for almost anyone who is currently missing teeth or is at risk of losing teeth.

Our dental implants are made of titanium and are placed in the jaw bone to serve as the root for teeth that are being replaced. Dental implants can be used to replace one or several missing teeth. Because titanium is very compatible with living tissue, your body readily accepts it and makes these dental implants an effective and permanent method to restore missing teeth.

In many situations, dental implants can give back patients their confident smile. The benefits are improved esthetics, the ability to eat comfortably and a clean, healthy oral environment for the patient.

There are many different types of dental implants available. Our doctors have extensive experience in dental implants and would be pleased to discuss the benefits of implant prosthetics with you. Ask about implant restorative treatment at the time of your consultation.

Porcelain Composite Fillings

Porcelain composite fillings can be used to repair teeth that are decayed and also replace old fillings. The white porcelain can be bonded to the tooth's surface for a more appealing look. Since they bond to the tooth, composite fillings restore most of the original strength of the tooth. Silver weakens the teeth, making them more susceptible to breaking.

Porcelain fillings can prevent decay-causing bacteria from getting to the inner part of a tooth, as well as preventing tooth fractures due to the expansion and contraction characteristics of metal fillings over time.

Porcelain Crowns & Bridges

IPS Empress is an all-ceramic crown system that gives you exceptional esthetics plus strength.  A proven ceramic alternative to metallic restorations, Empress offers patient satisfaction with aesthetic, natural looking restorations, by the exclusive use of ceramic materials.

The utilization of bonded ceramic restorative materials is intended to reestablish function, shape, contour, color, natural light transmission and strength of natural dentition. Individually colored tooth restorations can be reproduced in exact shape and shade. The result is an individually fabricated restoration with an excellent fit and all the characteristics of a natural tooth. Even when working in limited space, optimum aesthetic results can be obtained.

The Empress system produces crowns, inlays/onlays and veneers, providing one of the strongest all-ceramic restorations available. The restoration is modeled in wax and invested in a specially formulated investment. The system's furnace then allows the restoration to be pressed in leucite reinforced ceramic porcelain. After removal, the object is finished to the required aesthetic and anatomical specifications, using staining and layering techniques.

As for every all-ceramic system, the presence of a metallic post and core is not advisable, because of the shadow effect or the grayness of the substructure that inevitably results after cementation. This can be overcome by having the post and core fabricated in a ceramic metal, and a ceramic opaque fired to it. This is a two-step procedure with very pleasing results.

In the case of several single crowns or laminates, the same color is strongly recommended for all preparations (i.e., all substrates). To enhance the mechanical properties of this glass ceramic, the prosthetic restoration must be luted with an adhesive technique, using the latest generation dental adhesive. The composite cement must be chosen carefully to maintain the aesthetic properties of the all-ceramic restorations.

Porcelain Veneer Laminates

Veneers are a fantastic way to fix front teeth. You can whiten your teeth, close spaces, and create a great smile. We can even do virtually instant orthodontics to straighten crooked teeth. Porcelain veneers are thin, semi-transparent outer-shells that bond to your teeth. Porcelain veneers can be used as a cosmetic treatment for many dental problems such as broken, crooked, discolored, stained or uneven teeth.

  • Spaces between the teeth

  • Broken or chipped teeth

  • Unsightly, stained or washed out fillings

  • Permanently stained or discolored teeth

  • Misshapen or crooked teeth

  • Whiten dark yellow or stained teeth

  • Improve gummy smiles

Veneers are very thin and are bonded on the front of your anterior teeth. Dentists use some of the same techniques to bond plastic resins for minor smile corrections. These veneers are about 0.5mm to 1mm in thickness but are very strong once bonded to your teeth. They have a "life like" appearance with the strength, beauty, and durability only porcelain restorations can afford. Veneers have several advantages over crowns (caps). There is no "dark line" that is sometimes seen with older front caps. They transmit light better and, therefore, have a more translucent appearance giving a natural, esthetic look. Veneers do not require the more extensive removal of tooth structure that caps do, yet, they accomplish a lifelike, esthetic result.

Your first appointment usually involves some minor contouring of the front teeth and taking an impression of the teeth. The veneers are tried in, and, then bonded in place. A follow up visit is made in a week. The results are instant and spectacular. Many times, we combine bleaching with porcelain veneers to make that perfect smile. If some front teeth are already badly broken down, we can place new all porcelain crowns combined with veneering and other cosmetic techniques. As
